“My work has a vitality of its own, independent of the object that may or may not represent. When a Sculpture has this strength and energy, so you do not apply the term ‘beautiful’. Expression of beauty and power of expression there is a functional difference. And when the sculptures are not intended to represent shapes as we are by nature, this is not an escape to lifebut a penetration into an expression of reality and meaning of life.”
