“Die kreative Arbeit mit Stein fasziniert mich. Viele Menschen fühlen die Sehnsucht nach Ewigkeit, der Stein kann dafür Symbol sein. Ich sagte in einem Gespräch: “der Stein ist das Ewige in mir!” Eines meiner Hauptwerke trägt den Titel: „Global Stoneline„ welches ich mit jeweils sieben Skulpturen in verschiedenen Ländern realisiere.”

Wilfried Behre was born 1956 in Hannover (D). Studied fine arts. 1992, graduated as a master student under Professor Makoto Fujiwara at the Applied Science University in Hannover;
1989, start of “Global stone ribbon” with 7 granite sculptures in Hannover; fountain sculpture in the foyer of the Association for the Blind.
1994, Professor at the International Summer Academy in Salzburg.
1998, solo exhibition in the Market Church in Hannover.
1999, Art and Architecture with 8 sculptures, Hannover;
Expo 2000 project with 12 sculptures for the Kronsberg (118 m above sea level) in Hannover.
2001, India/Goa “Global stone ribbon”, 7 granite sculptures.
2003, Malaysia “Global stone ribbon” with 7 granite sculptures on the South China Sea.
2005, Takehara/Japan, 2 granite sculptures.
2007 “Global stone ribbon” with 7 granite sculptures in Hai Phon, North Vietnam. 2008, marble sculptures for Lisbon (PT) and HUE Vietnam.
Spring 2009, Professor at the Academy of Art in Hangzhou/China; granite fountain sculpture in Hangzhou/China; marble sculpture at a temple in North Vietnam, titel: Meditation.
2011 granit sculpture for Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics
